Mekan - Branding




“Mekan” is a solidarity platform founded after the 6th of February earthquake in Turkey. It aims to create a working environment for capacity building, brand initiatives and collaborations in the provinces affected by the earthquake, and to turn into a platform for solidarity and local development.

While creating an identity for Mekan, we wanted the brand to be a sign of hope.
So we decided to use the sun, which is the picture of hope, will never go out and always be reborn. 
We had 11 cities that were affected by the earthquake. So our sun had 11 lines for our 11 cities.





The sun's rays hit the earth at different strengths at every hour of the day. 
Based on this, we created a dynamic logo.










Each hour of the logo symbolizes a different city.
